Mission
The Federation FBVI-FAIB was founded in 1974 in order to bring together associations whose principal or secondary aims include a professional interest in the field of informatics.
The aims of the Federation are:
* Organization for general meetings with direct members of Member Societies on quantitative and qualitative aspects of IT professionalsm
* Representing Belgium at IFIP and taking care of the Belgian representation in its working groups
* Representing Belgium since 2002 at CEPIS as a Member Society and act as the sole license holder for the European Computer Driver License (ECDL) in this geographical area.
* Common representation of the national IT community to external and international organizations
* Organization of activities of general interest to the informatics community
